Take control of your teaching

The Language List gives you more flexibility around when and how you teach English as a foreign language (TEFL).

Our 15% listing fee is much lower than traditional agents and language schools. We are also the only learning service that puts you directly in touch with students.

See what our tutors say about us in the following testimonials: EricaDavid, Rod, Tandy.

Share your experience

We encourage tutors to share their experiences with each other on The Language List’s social networks. You can swap advice and arrange meet ups and trips together. It’s a great way for students to widen their network whilst travelling abroad.

How it works

1

Register your interest

Read our Frequently Asked Questions page for tutors, to check that The Language List is right for you. If it is, submit your contact details via the red SIGN UP NOW button below, and The Language List team will be in touch

2

Complete your profile

Fill in your profile form and submit along with photos.  Choose which option you want with respect to video

3

Review booking enquiries

We will send you booking enquiries from potential students.  Having made contact with a student, let us know if you are happy to offer them a homestay.  We then invoice the student, and once the payment is made, the booking is confirmed

4

Prepare for your student

Keep in contact and answer any travel questions.  See if the student has any special learning requests.  Prepare learning materials

5

Welcome your student

You can decide how to spread the tuition hours the student has paid for, across the duration of their homestay with you

Trust & transparency

The Language List believes in immersive homestay learning, so everything we do – from our profiles to our review system – gives tutors and students the access and information they need in order to make the right match
